My name is John Gibson. I’m an artist and watchmaker.

I make one-of-one watches from materials that weren’t meant to be watches.

Each piece is built by hand, one at a time. No templates. No repetition.

This work began with recycled skateboards, but it didn’t stay there. What started as an experiment in material has evolved into a broader practice: transforming the unexpected into functional timepieces.

Every dial is cut, shaped, and assembled by hand. The material dictates the outcome. Because of that, no two watches are ever the same, and there’s no way to make them the same even if I tried.

Some pieces are released in small numbers. Others exist as a single, one-of-one watch.

When they’re gone, they’re gone.

This isn’t about recycling.

It’s about making something worth keeping.
